I’m thinking of getting one for my cat but it is quite large. I don’t wan’t it to break!
Can you reccomend one that will hold a fairly big cat (she weighs 12lb)?
Also, do your cats like to use theirs often? is it worth the money?

How can you treat a kitten and dog equal? and how can someone critize you when they treat their cat worse?

So i have a 1 1/2 yr old dog and a almost 10 week old kitten. My dog is spoiled with tons of toys, meat, walks and she comes on trips with me. The cat has a few toys (8 balls and a pack of springs) and a cat tree (a huge one with platforms, a hammock, a dangling thing to bat back and forth and a hole to go in),she eats kitten food, she plays with anything she sees around including most of the dog toys and she has cat treats. I don’t plan taking her outside or on trips with me.

My roommate says that the kitten is going to be miserable unless i treat them the exact same. However she has a cat and her cat hardly has any toys and she leaves the cat alone for weeks. My cat with have my brother to keep her company. She expects me to treat my cat exactly like my dog which seems unreasonable to me. Plus she expects me to treat me kitten way better than she treats her own cat. So by that logic if my cat is miserable being treated better than her cat but less than the dog then her cat must be incredibly miserble. Right?

My cat puts her paws behind her head when she lays back like she is lounging or something. What does it mean?

She mostly does it when she is playing with me dogs or laying in my arms.I think it is a good sign. Sometimes she scratches at her chin while holding her head this way, but not more than one or two swipes so I don’t think its an itch… Imagine a cat lounging on a hammock with her paws behind her head…
Also, she has done the rolling on her back/side to show me her belly, but this is new lol.

Are cat playpens, condos, towers, hammocks, dens, etc. (other cat furniture) worth the money?

I’m getting a new cat soon, and I want her/him to be happy while I’m away at work. I found this website http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Pet_supplies.cfm?c=3261+10345+1887 which has a ton of adorable cat furniture. Preferably from those of you who have purchased one of these things, do you recommend it? Do the cats actually take a liking to these things, and if so, what particular type of cat furniture would you recommend?

What should I get my cat for Christmas?

He’s 16 and lays around a lot but he also still plays. He likes feathers so I’m definitely going to get him some feather toys, but I wanted to get him a new cat bed that he would like. I’m thinking about a kitty hammock but can’t really find one. He’s already got a cat papasan chair and loves it so I was thinking a raised cat hammock might be great for him in his older age (easier to get in and out of than the papsan).

What do all the other pet parents on Yahoo! Answers think?

Need help on picking a cat tree?

Hey everyone.

I’m about to buy a cat tree from www.armarkat.com and need some help deciding. I have two Bengal kittens. One is a year old and the other is 9 months. They are very energetic and my older cat keeps climbing up everything in my house, including the blinds on my windows, so I think a cat tree would be a good idea. lol

I’m torn between two and I can’t choose.

http://www.armarkat.com/classic-cat-tree/classic-cat-tree-b7301/prod_25.html This one is smaller but has a cool little hammock with a rope.

http://www.armarkat.com/classic-cat-tree/classic-cat-tree-b7801/prod_28.html I’m leaning more towards this one. It’s taller and has multiple platforms for the to jump up on and climb.

So which one would you choose for two very energetic cats? Thanks in advance!
They don’t charge for shipping.
